Car Awnings Dammam & Khobar: Fabric Replacement Guide & Warranty

Introduction to the Importance of Car Awnings and Fabric Replacement

A car awning shields the vehicle and lowers cabin heat.

We know that high temperatures damage paint and increase fuel consumption; a sturdy awning can lower the temperature by about 5 °C. Old fabric degrades over time and fades, but replacing it improves protection efficiency and refreshes the appearance. Prices start from SAR 110 per square meter depending on the fabric type, and the warranty gives you peace of mind for 5 to 12 years. Personally, I prefer German‑made fabric because it endures sunlight better.

So, what’s the difference between Korean and German PVC fabric? The Korean fabric is lighter (750 g/m²) and cheaper, but the German version is more resistant to UV rays (900 g/m²) and comes with a 10‑year fabric warranty and a 5‑year steel warranty. Choosing the right fabric depends on the awning’s location and its exposure to salt and humidity—exactly what every car owner looks for.

We install the fabric with high precision; every step is monitored to prevent water leakage or steel corrosion. After installation we provide a complimentary inspection after three months to ensure quality.

Factors Affecting Fabric Replacement Costs in the Eastern Province

Pricing is determined by several key factors in Dammam and Khobar.

Geographic location plays a major role; proximity to the sea raises the cost of galvanized steel. Hot‑dip galvanized steel with a 3 mm coating costs more but extends lifespan. Fabric varies in weight and thickness; heavier fabrics increase price. A professional installation company adds labor fees of SAR 20–30 per square meter.

Comparison of Available Awning Fabrics

Several fabric types are available on the market to meet different needs.

Korean PVC fabric weighs 750 g/m², priced at SAR 110–180 per square meter, with a 5‑year warranty against tearing and discoloration. German PVC fabric weighs 900 g/m², priced at SAR 180–280, and includes a 10‑year fabric warranty plus a 5‑year steel warranty. PVDF fabric weighs 1,000 g/m², priced at SAR 220–350, offering a 12‑year warranty on the fabric only. Polycarbonate fabric weighs 850 g/m², priced at SAR 250–420, providing a transparent and durable appearance. Sandwich panels weigh 950 g/m², priced at SAR 200–320, combining thermal insulation with strength.

Technical Guide to Selecting the Right Fabric and Proper Installation

Choosing the right fabric starts with analyzing the site’s environmental conditions.

We conduct a comprehensive site inspection before selecting the fabric. Moisture and salinity levels are measured to determine the appropriate fabric thickness. If salinity is high, we opt for PVC fabric weighing 750 g/m² or more to reduce corrosion. Hot‑dip galvanized steel with a 3 mm coating ensures rust resistance for 10 years. Installation involves cleaning the surface, applying a waterproof membrane, then fastening the fabric with rust‑resistant brackets. Specialized screws support the fabric and prevent water ingress. After installation, we test the awning with water pressure to confirm there are no leaks.
